In a difficult job market, her only breakthrough is with a schlock publication known as El Grito. One of her jobs is to take exploitative photos of murder victims. In doing so, Estela stumbles upon a connection in several murders of beautiful young women. Her coworkers don't believe her, the police attempt to stop her, and on her own she discovers something linking these murders to a source close to her.
