After her husband leaves her, Laura and her daughter Muriel decide to leave Buenos Aires for a vacation in the country. After an accident causes them to lose all of their belongings, they make their way to an old hotel run by Mirta and her children. Laura and Mirta work together to make ends meet, but their newfound tranquility is interrupted by the reappearance of Muriel's father.
