The repressive East German regime prevented Ulrich Weiss`s 1981 feature, YOUR UNKNOWN BROTHER, from showing at Cannes, but viewers can judge the film for themselves here. Set in 1935, the film follows a former political prisoner as he joins a resistance group, only to worry that a member that he has befriended is betraying them all.
