One of Mexican cinema's best-known actors, Pedro Armendariz, stars in BODAS DE FUEGO. Over the course of his career, Armendariz won two Ariel awards (the Mexican Oscar) and acted in Hollywood productions as well. Here, he plays Rodolfo, a handsome young rancher in the Mexican countryside. When a city doctor's fiancee takes ill, he brings her to the ranch to improve her health. However, this ends up being a disastrous decision on his part, as the lady and Rodolfo fall in love with one another, and begin to see each other secretly. As the wedding day nears, Rodolfo becomes agonized, and tries one last desperate ploy to make his love forget the doctor entirely.
