A gritty, realistic portrait of working class life in Argentina, Trapero's film is more a series of episodic events than a traditionally unfolding narrative. Combined with sepia tinted black-and-white photography, the result is a striking achievement that has the feel of a personal documentary. Rulo (Margani) is a divorced 49-year-old who had a near brush with celebrity twenty years earlier as the bass player in a rock band. After the band fell into obscurity, Rulo put on weight and fell into a working class existence as a construction worker, where he remains to this day. Rather than feel anger or bitterness at his situation, Rulo retains a hopeful optimism that is at once impressive, commendable, and inspiring.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Interactive Features: Scene Access
