On a bus to the Colombian town of Barranquilla, a young woman and Ismael, a handsome police sergeant, each feel the stirrings of mutual attraction. She is not aware that he is actually on an undercover mission to take down Lupercio, a guerrilla leader, for murdering the wife of a noted drug lord. Meanwhile, Lupercio is caught up in a disagreement with Ernestico, the leader of a Revolution, over political viewpoints.
