The lush look of the film is echoed by A.R. Rahman's marvelous score and outstanding costuming and set design. Some of the most popular acts in Latin rock and pop comprise this collection, which includes Mexican group Mercurio. After such honors as opening for Ricky Martin and meeting the Pope, the quintet received the Eres` Best Pop Band Award two years in a row in 1997 and 1998, and in `98 was recognized as the Best Live Act as well. Also featured is Latin dance popster Lynda, who gained an international following after moving to LA and releasing her album, MI DIA DE LA INDEPENDENCIA, in 2000. The songs she has written for popular Mexican soap opera PRIMER AMOR have made her a hit in her native Mexico. Teen sensation Kabah also first gained exposure on a soap opera, AGUEJETAS DE COLOR, and their pop balladry has gone on to earn them three gold records and one platinum since their 1997 debut.
