A recently bereaved widow enters into a tussle with her father-in-law over the right to keep her two children in this Iranian drama. Iranian law commands that she stays with her father-in-law, but the woman decides to take her children, and attempts to disappear, hoping the overbearing father of her former husband won`t be able to find her. IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE centers around Chow Mo-Wan (Tony Leung) and Su Li-Zhen (Maggie Cheung), neighbors living in a crowded apartment building in 1962 Hong Kong. Both married to people who are always away, they spend many nights home alone. Yet the film is filled with Wong's unique style, with its lush pageantry of colors, sounds, and images. An Armenian film that manages to perfectly capture the nervous, heart-pounding moments of a blossoming romance, Hiner Saleem`s VODKA LEMON is an hour-and-a-half of pure pleasure. Set during the post-Soviet era, Saleem orchestrates a moving adventure through the snowcapped lands of a small Armenian village, where we discover Hamo (Romen Avinian), a downcast man who spends the bulk of his days tending to his late-wife`s grave. While there, Hamo slowly builds a friendship with the bereaved Nina (Lara Sarkissian), who performs similar duties for her late-husband`s final resting place. Despite living close to the poverty line, the two cling to their dreams of a better future, and slowly overcome their shyness and guilt to take tender steps towards building a relationship together. Beautifully shot and convincingly acted, VODKA LEMON is an affecting tale of love and hardship.

MARRIAGE ITALIAN STYLE presents director Vittorio De Sica`s fourth collaboration with actress Sophia Loren, and the film exploits the busty Amazon for all she`s worth. In the role of Filomena Marturano, a lusty prostitute, Loren`s costumes range from tiny to scanty. Loren`s fine comic timing, combined with a fine script and the bubbling charm of co-star Marcello Mastroianni elevates the picture from mere titillation to consistently deft and amusing farce. As Domenico Soriano, Mastroianni is on the verge of marrying a younger woman when he hears that his long time mistress, Filomena, is on her deathbed. He rushes to her side, where in a series of flashbacks, the film details the couple`s twenty year relationship. Domenico offers to marry Filomena, but when she recovers miraculously he recognizes that her illness was only a ruse--forcing Filomena to pull deeper from her bag of tricks to catch her man.
