The political wounds inflicted on the Polish people during the post-Solidarity era are dramatized in this tragic film from world-renowned director Krzysztof Kieslowski. A dedicated attorney is busy building a defense for a fiery labor activist and strike organizer when he suddenly dies in an automobile accident. His widow, realizing too late how much she truly loved her husband, believes the only way for her to feel whole again is to further his cause. She hires an aging, compromising lawyer to take on this one last case. Ultimately, she realizes that no matter what social ramifications this trial has, her grief for her husband will never fade. Kieslowski's film is as much a political commentary as it is a metaphysical drama, one in which a deceased man continues to affect the world through his widow's absolute love. Made with Kieslowski's traditional somberness, NO END is a haunting, ultimately moving work that hints at themes the director would develop in his masterworks THE DECALOGUE and THREE COLORS TRILOGY.DVD Features:Region [unknown]Keep CaseFull Frame - 1.33Additional Release Material: Trailer - 1. Umberto Lenzi (CANNIBAL FEROX) directed this rather bizarre, yet popular zombie movie. It stars Hugo Stiglitz as Dean Miller, a television reporter who is covering a nuclear accident in a major city. When a mysterious plane makes an emergency landing near the accident site, Miller goes to cover the story and watches as a horde of flesh eatining zombies burst out of the plane. These irradiated zombies behave nothing like their risen from the grave couterparts. In fact, they run to chase their prey and even use weapons when given the chance. Frightened by these super zombies, Miller grabs his wife and heads out of town. Unfortunately, the zombies follow him, leading to a showdown in an abandoned amusement park.DVD Features:Region 0Keep CaseAnamorphic Widescreen - 2.35:1Audio: Mono - EnglishAdditional Release Material: Production Interview - 1. Gas Food Lodging (DVD) » Gas Food Lodging (DVD)

Allison Anders's GAS FOOD LODGING is a heartfelt, honest look at a teenage girl's coming of age. Fairuza Balk stars, giving a tremendously sympathetic performance as Shade, a girl living in a trailer park with her mom, Nora (Brooke Adams), and doing her best to hold her volatile family together. While Shade's older sister, Trudi (Ione Skye), sleeps around and is filled with rage at men, her mother, and the world in general, Shade is a compassionate, melancholy teen who spends time watching wildly romantic Mexican movies at the local cinema. She believes her mother will be happy if she can find her father, John Evans (a moving performance by James Brolin), and reunite her family. Though things don't go quite so smoothly, the film maintains a hopeful tone. Anders's second film, GAS FOOD LODGING put her on the indie film map, establishing her as sensitive director whose stories of struggling women, told in their own voices, are marked by emotional honesty and disarming humor. GAS FOOD LODGING is an intimate, well-wrought gem.DVD Features:Region 1Keep CaseWidescreenAudio: Dolby Digital Stereo - English
