Based on a novel by Claude Klotz (MAN ON THE TRAIN), KILLER KID is a brutal exploration of the violence that adults inflict on children. Djilali (Teufik Jallab) is an 11-year-old Lebanese orphan recruited by a terrorist group to become a ruthless child assassin. Sent to Paris on a mission to assassinate the French President, Djilali enlists an unsuspecting Arab boy named Karim (Younesse Boudache) to help him blend into French society. Karim has grown up in a poor Parisian suburb and knows nothing of the indoctrinated fanaticism that informs Djilali's life--he is a carefree boy who loves rap music, skateboarding, cheeseburgers, and girls. Despite their cultural differences, the boys forge a genuine friendship, one that is soon tested by Djilali's conflicted duty to his terrorist mission. Ineffectual businessman Andres (Carlos Hip3/4lito) seeks an escape from his unhappy home life that turns deadly, in Spanish director Angel Fernandez Santos's debut feature. Trapped in a loveless marriage, Andres stays with his family for the sake of his son, David (JosU VelBzquez). While in the process of taking over the family business from his stepfather, he encounters beautiful shop girl Isabel (Cayetana Guillen Cuervo), and is immediately drawn to her. He begins an affair with her, and becomes obsessed with his new lover after she is assaulted and her apartment destroyed. Isabel, however, has other loyalties: her boyfriend Paco (Nancho Novo), a vicious drug dealer, is currently in jail, and the pair needs money desperately. Isabel, in classic femme fatale mode, suggests to her susceptible paramour that together they kidnap Andres's own son. A low-budget endeavor, HAZLO POR MI succeeds on every count, with finely-drawn characters and gripping, well-paced action.

Set in a Hungarian coal mining town, Tamas is a shy young miner who falls for Juli, but finds it hard to express his feelings for her. They plan to spend New Year's Eve together, but those plans are thwarted when Tamas is assigned to work that night. Juli, however, takes it upon herself to go to the mine on New Year's Eve to celebrate with Tamas.
