After living in the US for many years, an exile returns home to Mexico; his homecoming turns sour, however, when he is arrested upon reverting to the life of crime which he had left behind long ago. Finding himself struggling to survive within the confines of Mexico's toughest prison, he becomes a fighter in illegal sparring matches, eventually emerging as the champion. His fate remains uncertain, however, as every fight is a battle between life and death.
